Bucks County Council has a rich heritage of successful Wood Badge courses. The first Council sponsored course was held at Sky Lake in 1975. Wood Badge has evolved over the years, changing with the times and delivering the skills necessary to meet the leadership demands of Scouting in the 21st Century.

The first of the "new" courses was held in 2003 with NE-II-123 with Gail Hill as the Course Director. The next was NE-II-150 in 2005 led by Matt Zrada. 2007 brought NE-II-165 with Steve Prusienski at the helm. The most recent course was NE-V-134 in 2009 with Chris Finnegan as Course Director.
